Pick the best day to be on the water. Ideally we are looking for two or three days of consistent wind and weather.

Serious Muskie fisherman are very in tune with the Minor and Major phases of the moon. Be on the water at these key times to increase your odds.

The weather from the past few days will greatly effect todays fishing, With the current and historical wind / weather in mind, put together your list of desired places on the lake to fish.


	Analyze each potential fishing spot and visualize where the fish might be prior to taking your rod out of the case. Cover as much water as you can, fishing thoroughly and systematically in a radial pattern. Present the fly with varied and erratic retrieves, changing speeds and your casting angles to the water with each cast. Be alert, a strike can come at any time.... you may only get one chance.
